The Durham Township Environmental Advisory Council invites you to attend its 3rd Annual Walk in Penn’s Woods in partnership with the Cooks Creek Watershed Association and The Durham Historical Society! Taking place October 6 from noon – 3pm, this year’s guided walk takes place on three contiguous private properties within Durham Township. It’s a downhill walk of approximately 1.5-miles that traverses former roads and paths through old growth forest and a blue heron rookery on beautiful Cooks Creek, one of only a few streams in Bucks Count designated as an Exceptional Value (EV) stream. Guides will provide information about the forest, native plants and animals, stream ecology and the human history of the area. Space is limited and registration is REQUIRED. Contact Durham Township EAC Chair Kathleen Connally at [email protected] to register and receive the address/coordinates for parking and meet up. Please leave pets at home.
