Annual Fall Potluck Dinner and Silent Auction
October 7, 2017 @ 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm
This is the Cooks Creek Watershed Association’s premier fundraising event. The evening will have a speaker, great food prepared and shared by all who attend, wonderful fellowship with your neighbors and a silent auction of gifts donated by local and regional businesses.
The keynote speaker will be Howard B. Eskin, MS, member of Bucks County Audubon Society and Bucks County Birders. He is a recent graduate of Cornell University’s Masters of Ornithology Program. Although retired, Mr. Eskin mentors Ph.D. candidates at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania (he has a Ph.D. in applied mathematics) and figured he liked birds so much, he wanted to know the science behind them.
Mr. Eskin is a nature lover and photographer that is happy to share the results of his work with others, including the donation of all his photographs to the Audubon Society and present talks to groups interested in learning about our feathered friends.
“I’ve been a picture-taker since I was 8 years old and my first camera was made of cardboard with a pinhole and my first real camera was a Kodak Brownie,” he said. Ever since, Howard has become an extremely talented photographer with birds as his specialty since 2005.
Come see some of his awesome work on October 7 and be inspired to learn to take some of your own photos!
